Screaming Eagles arrived at The Great Wall for the annual Bastogne-Tet Luncheon. Secretary Jerry Gomes welcomed everyone and asked each person to introduce themselves.  Bill Kohlmeyer led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 Gomes reported that the Mt St Helens (Washington) Chapter has merged with Oregon Cascade Chapter due to membership dropping in Washington below the required ten veterans. 

 ROTC Awards -Thank you to Bill Wingett for making the awards OSU, U of O, U of P, WSU.   Cadets have not been selected yet. Banquets and Ceremonies to be announced. 

 Jim Norene left $500 in his will to the chapter.  Gomes talked to President Ed Casciato and to Jim's daughter Tracie Bunch who made executive decision to spend this gift in honor of Jim and purchase flags for the chapter.

 

The American Flag arrived in time for the meeting and the Screaming Eagle flag is being special ordered.    We're checking into participating in the Heppner St Patrick's Day Parade, Doc Norene's home town, to march in honor of Jim.
